Therapy for Teenage Anxiety & Depression
Treatment for Teenage Anxiety & Depression in Canton, Ohio
Are you out of ideas on how to manage your teen?
Maybe they never come out of their room, perhaps they've stopped talking to you all together about how they're feeling anymore. They may be struggling to get through the day or simply finding a sense of peace. Perhaps they’re feeling alone & like no one understands.
Whatever it is that they’re experiencing, you’ve begun to notice the impact of your teen’s anxiety or depression in every facet of their life: friendships, school, family relationships & overall mood…and you’re wondering what to do.
Teen Therapy can help.
It may feel impossible now, but they can find happiness. They can have a life free of this pain and sadness. They can go on to live happy, well-adjusted lives. And I can help them get there.
Teen Therapy helps them do 4 things:
-
Identify the root of the issue and find a way to recover.
-
Learn ways to express themselves and cope with their emotions.
-
Build their self-esteem and develop coping strategies.
-
Have a better understanding of who they are so they can move forward and have a life full of success.
I’ll help your teenager through this process, tailoring each step to their unique needs and circumstances. My approach to Teen Therapy comes from a place of empathy and hope: believing that your teen already has the tools they need for success, but just needs some guidance to get there.
Your teenager doesn't have to be defined by their depression or anxiety.
FAQ's

Q: What are Teen Therapy sessions like?

A: After the initial assessment appointment, I work on building rapport with your teen by talking with them, playing games, or creating art so they can express how they're feeling when they cannot put words to the emotions. I use these techniques to allow them to feel at ease so they can talk about how they are feeling once they learn they have someone that understands. Each session is one-on-one with your teen, so it creates a safe space outside of parents' rules and exceptions. This allows them to express themselves in a way they have never really known.
Q: How long does my teenager need to be in therapy?

A: It really depends on the needs of your teen. Some therapy with teens is short-term if they're struggling with a specific situation in life. With something long-standing, like chronic anxiety or deep-rooted depression, it may take a series of months.
Q: How do I know if Teen Therapy will work for my child?

A: I have over 10 years’ experience working with children and teens struggling with anxiety and depression. I have devoted my entire career to developing ways to empower children and teens so they can be in control of their lives. They will feel better about themselves and have a better path before them after treatment with me.
Q: How do we get started?

A: All you need to do is reach out to me by message, phone call or email and we set up a free consultation to determine if your teen’s needs are something I can help with. Once we determine that, we will schedule an initial assessment with you and your teen.
