Ready to see your child thrive again?

Julie Goch, LPCC
(and fur family)
You remember a time when meltdowns, constant worry, and a battle of wills weren't the norm, but those days feel like a distant memory...

Don't you wish you had the tools to change that?
You've come to the right place!
I'm Julie and I help kids just like yours: ones who have it in them to conquer their fears and anxiety but just need the support to get there!

I help children find confidence, happiness, and freedom by equipping them with the tools they need to have a better sense of self.

Many of today’s solutions for kids struggling with anxiety are focused on teaching skills without building confidence, leaving you and your child to feel stuck in a place of helplessness and ultimately making things worse!
I know that your child's circumstances are unique, so I prioritize building your child's confidence in themselves before we start asking them to face their fears.
First, I take my time learning about your kid and building trust with both you and them. Then, we start using play therapy as a non-invasive way of exploring big feelings while building simple to remember and use skills for dealing with anxiety. Through our work together, your child learns how to tackle even some of their greatest worries while subsequently feeling the joy and pride of saying, "I did it!"
I am dedicated to helping kids thrive!
My training in play therapy and decades of experience working with kids means I have the expertise your child needs and deserves when conquering these challenges. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it feels like when your kid is struggling with anxiety and you just want to help them, right?

I get it because as I've watched my clients battle and face their fears, I've seen how it affects you as parents too. I know there are some days where you feel completely helpless and hate seeing your kid go through such big emotions. I know what it feels like to watch them struggle and just want to fix it. And I know what it feels like on the other side when you finally see your kid work through something incredibly hard.

So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you and your child are going through.

Areas of Expertise
I use a variety of methods to help my clients overcome anxiety and build self-confidence. Your treatment is totally customized to you.
Expressive Play Therapy
Expressive Play Therapy allows your child an opportunity to express themself without having to use their words and gives them a platform to share in a safe and supportive environment.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness allows us to approach anxiety using grounding techniques and self-soothing skills to offer relief for the anxiety and limit anxiety's impact overall.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (or CBT), helps us look at unhelpful thoughts, emotional responses, and behaviors that are getting in the way of your child's success and find new ways of thinking, feeling, or acting that allow them to thrive in their day-to-day life.
Solution Focused Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy is often brief and focused on "solving the problem" rather than understanding "why" something happened in the first place.
Creative Expression Therapy
Creative Expression Therapy, uses art and other medias to express emotions so that your child can process events in their life that are too difficult to talk about.
Experiential Therapy
Experiential Therapy allows your child to re-enact and re-experience emotional situations from their past so they can release and explore negative feelings of anger, hurt, or shame.
