During this difficult time of Covid-19, we are all looking for space to find peace as our anxiety is growing. As most of us are in quarantine I have thought about some creative ways to combat our anxiety during this trying time that will lend well to creating some normalcy in our lives.
If you're someone who enjoys being creative then this list of suggestions should feel very comfortable to you. If you're not someone who thinks of themselves as creative, that doesn't mean these things aren't for you because being creative doesn't mean you have to be good at it. It means you just have try and allow the creative juices flow! When i do Expressive Therapy with my clients I always remind them that it isn't a matter of being "good" but about the process. That's what this is about too. Being able to try some of these activities and allow yourself to engage in them 100%. Give it a try, what have you got to lose?
1. Start a Art Journal to track how you've been feeling during this time.
2. Keep a written journal to track your anxiety and emotions while feeling
overwhelmed and cooped up.
3. Practice Meditation using YouTube videos lasting 10 minutes.
